An Algorithm Based on Probability Generating Function for Reliability of a Consecutive-k-out-of-r-from-n: F System

In this paper, we present a new method for computing exact reliability of the consecutive-k-out-of-r-from-n: F system in a conditional probability generating function approach, This method is not only general and new but also available to numerical and symbolic calculation by using a computer algebra system.
