MAXIMUM LIKELIHOOD ESTIMATION IN THE LIFE TESTING FOR THE TWO-PARAMETER EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTION WITH REPLACEMENT

A very important but easily ignored fact in life foisting is pointed out, viz. the life data analysis of the life testing with the original and the replacement items having this same two-parameter exponential distribution is quite different from that of the life testing with the replacement items having a ones-parameter exponential distribution. Based on the theory of renewal process the maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters of the former are given.
