SOME PROBLEMS ON FLOOD-FREQUENCY ANALYSIS

The purpose of this paper is to assess the current state-ofart of floodf-requencyanalysis in a statistical context. It includes mainly two parts——choice of floodfrequency models and methods of parameter estimation. Some special topics such as expected probability, regional flood-frequency analysis. the effect of discharge measurement error on estimation Bayesian estimation’s application and treatment of outliers in flood data are also discussed.
