复杂零假设的边界P值及其应用

THE BOUNDED P-VALUE FOR COMPOSITE NULL HYPOTHESES WITH ITS APPLICATION

  • 摘要: 本文研究零假设为复杂情况时的P值问题。对于一维正态均值的单边检验H0:θθ0,P值是指拒绝域在参数,θ=θ0时的概率。根据这一想法,本文定义了一般情况下的边界P值。当零假设是一个多面体凸锥时,本文给出了一个计算边界P值的方法,并利用这个方法解决了一个实际问题。

     

    Abstract: A generalized P-value, namey the bounded P-value, is defined and studied in this paper. It is known that for the one sided testing problem of the normal mean H0:θθ0, the P-value is the probability of the rejection region under θ=θ0. Based on this consideration a bounded P-value is defined for general case, in which the null hypothesis is determined by a closed convex cone. Some properties of the bounded P-value are discussed and a numerical example is analized by using the results.
