Abstract: Problems of parameter estimation and hypothesis testing are discussed when the observations have p-order Liouville distributions. Under certain assumptions on the density generator, we obtain MLE, UMVU, UMP and UMPU, which generalize many classical results on independent, identically distributed, exponential or Gamma or Weibull data.
