Abstract: The paper analyzes the various factors affecting the demands of pencils in China.It carries on the statistical analysis by means of different mathematical models.Prediction models within medium-short period of the demans of pencils are given.The prediction will offer scientific basis for the management of the production of pencils during the 7th- 5-year plan and will have a far reaching effect on the longterm plan of the production of pencils.
